Welcome to the official website of the Malta Personal and Social Development Association (MPSDA).
The website summarizes the main activities taking place in MPSDA, provides a resource pool for PSD
teachers about different topics in PSD, provides essential links to useful websites and offers
material related to important policy documents as well as the FOCUS Newsletter related to the subject
of PSD.
MPSDA was first formed in February 2003, and since then we had three different Executive Councils.
The Association aims at safeguarding the interests of the PSD specialists, disseminating information
about current themes relevant to PSD and acting as a support group for all PSD specialists whilst
encouraging activities dealing with PSD.
Through this website you can find relevant information required for your daily practice as PSD
specialists. In the section “About PSD” you will find the aims of PSD, two transcripts of the interviews
done to the PSD Educational Officers along with articles about the subject. This section is followed
by a section addressing information about the Committee Members. PSD specialists can be updated about
the events that concern them through the “Calendar of Events” section, where dates related to MPSDA
meetings and activities are listed, along with information related to the forthcoming scholastic
calendar and days of interest for PSD teachers. The section “Resources” gives admission to a variety
of ready-made resources that can be used with different age cohorts. “Links” provides access to websites
directly related to the PSD profession.
Whilst hoping that you find the website useful, we will be pleased if you contact us on
psdmalta@gmail.com for feedback, suggestions or queries.
